Power tools are hardware tools that are electronically powered. This not only gives you more speed when working but also gives you mover power. For e.g. you want to drill a hole, then doing so with a hammer and a peg will take you ages and it will be a messy job, but with a power driller you can make the hole in seconds and without making a mess or doing an untidy job.
What are Power Tools?
These are tools that are powered by an electric motor, gasoline engine or a compressed air motor. They are classified as either portable or stationery, where portable means handheld. Power tools are primarily used in the construction industry and around the house for cutting, drilling, sanding, shaping, grinding, painting and polishing.
Stationary power tools for metal working are generally called machine tools, though they are not referred to as so where tools for woodworking are concerned. But there are some common power tools for both woodworking and metalworking like bench grinders or drill presses so the term is often heard being used for wood work as well. Stationary power tools are valuable not only for their speed but for their accuracy as well. For e.g. a table saw not only cuts the wood faster than a hand saw, but the cuts are smoother, more square, straighter and the finish is much better than any skilled man with a hand saw. Lathes which are one of the oldest hand tools which originated in Egypt can truly produce round objects that cannot be made in any other way.
Stationary tools are generally preferred with electric motors and portable electric tools may either be corded or may be battery operated. Compressed air is customarily used for paint sprayers and nailers. A few tools are actually powered by explosive cartridges. Gasoline powered tools are usually for the outdoors like string trimmers or chainsaws.
Some common power tools include drills, routers, various types of saws, lathe, electric sanders and many more. You can also look for some great carports, garages, sheds, garden sheds and order them online.
Safety when using Power Tools:
As these tools have various sharp and potentially dangerous attachments it is important that they be used only after safety instructions and protective gear. These tools produce a large amount of noise and vibrations which can be harmful if proper care is not taken. Using power tools with hearing protection can actually lead to hearing loss also eye glasses, gloves, aprons, etc should all be worn to protect the body from flying particles.
